⚔️ OG-Style 5e SRD SRD 5.1 · prototype

Welcome, reader

This is a hypertext prototype of the System Reference Document 5.1 (the 2014 fifth-edition rules), built in the spirit of Old Gus' Daggerheart SRD: one static site, no accounts, no ads, works offline.

Pick a category on the left, search, and click an entry. Monsters can be sent straight into the Encounter calculator; conditions are cross-linked from monster stat blocks.

Encounter Calculator

2014 XP-budget method, plus the Lazy DM deadly benchmark (Sly Flourish): an encounter may be deadly if the monsters' total CR exceeds ¼ of the party's total levels — or ½ if everyone is below 5th level. Add monsters from the Compendium, or enter CRs by hand.

About this prototype

A vertical slice toward “Old Gus' Daggerheart SRD, but for 5e”: compendium + character calculator + encounter calculator, as a fully static site. Put the folder on any static host (or open it locally) and it works offline — a service worker caches the app shell and data after the first visit over http(s).
